         I am the type of person who likes to think about things and I have done some thinking these last few days. I have a deep concern for Christ's Church of the 21st century. I suppose every generation has had their concerns and issues to deal with and we are no different in the world in which we live. But I find too often that the people who make up the congregation of God, they either have lost or are loosing the attraction as to why the church even exists in the world of 2007 and 2008. We have organized and reorganized in the local congregations and we often look so good on the outside to a world that sees us only as some civic club to join so we can be with people similar to us.      

         I find the truth is many times being avoided for fear of offending others who might believe differently than some. Are we afraid of the truth today? Or are we simply unlearned and do not have the knowledge needed to teach and say what is necessary? Paul had this same concern in his day. In Romans 10:2 he said,"For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge." (ASV) (ASV) The Greek meaning there for knowledge is, "they do not have a full or complete acquaintance with God and His word."

Or the truth is not taught because the one standing in the position of teacher does not know the truth for him/herself. 

         The purpose of Christ's Church in this or any generation is to tell the good news to everyone who will listen and even those who reject it. God's people are to be the ones to reach out with HIS Word and not our own and rescue those perishing to a Christ less eternity.

We will have the website of the Congregation on our home page so you can go their and see some of the things going on there. Scott serves there with his wife Shelly and their 5 children. We are beginning a series with Scott today that will hopefully continue for the next three or four weeks.

  Standoutstudios.net is discovering some interesting things as we produce this program each week.
  First of all, we are growing. This is exciting for one basic reason, people are hungry to hear the 
  truth of God and His Word. Too often in our world today the truth is not presented as God's Word speaks it so               clearly. We are hearing from people by their email and their comments that they 
  like what they hear and see on our program and they want more of it. We like to know and hear that 
  we are an encouragement to so many as you listen. We cannot stress the fact enough, we are not here 
  for our own purpose or our own benefit, we are here because people, like those of you listening right now, need to hear the truth of God and not a worldly view of how man and his organizations think it should be. God is 
  still on His throne, and we will only preach and teach those things He has set down for mankind in 
  His Word. 

  We also want to mention a few things we have on the back burner, so to speak. Things that are moving rather 
  quickly to the forefront of our project list here at standoutstudios.net. We have what is referred to 
  as a WiKi on our website that allows you to visit and see some of the things we are involved in 
  at the present time as well as some upcoming events we hope to make available to you, our listeners. 
  We have topics there that you may read and learn from. Topics you may be interested in and have had 
  questions about but did not know the answer to, or maybe answers that were not based from God's Word. 
  We are also placing there dates of future programs to be presented here at standoutstudios.net so 
  you will have a better idea of what to look for and an idea as to when it will be available for your 
  listening pleasure and growth in Christ.

  We want to thank you all for your patience as we go through our growing pains here in the studio. We are continually developing and improving as each episode is produced.
